Funeral services will be held from St. John Catholic Church in St. John, Texas on Monday, September 13, 2021 at 11 am.

Visitation will begin at the Church at 9 am Monday, with the Parish rosary to be recited at 10:30 am.

Interment will be in the St. John Catholic Cemetery in St. John, Texas.  Full military honors will be conducted by the Schulenburg American Legion and the Schulenburg Vietnam Veterans.

The family requests donations be made to:  St. John Catholic Church; or St. Rose Catholic School; or a charity of one's choice.

Survivors include:  wife-Diane Roeder of St. John; sisters-Mary Ann Wotipka/husband Walter of Schulenburg, Virginia Helweg of Shiner and Dorothy Ulrich of Louisiana; and brother-Melvin Roeder/wife Lucia of Schulenburg.

He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother.
