The funeral services for Mr. Alton E. Meyer, age 89, of Schulenburg, Texas, will be held on Friday, January 31, 2014 at 2 pm from the St. Rose Catholic Church in Schulenburg. Visitation will begin to the public after 5 pm on Thursday, January 30, at the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home. Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department, American Legion and VFW Memorial services will begin at 6:30 Thursday with the Parish Rosary to follow at 7 pm. Burial will be in the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery.

Survivors include: wife, Annie Meyer of Schulenburg; daughters and sons-in law, Judy and Skip Pustejovsky of Altair, Audrey and Scott Smyth of Schulenburg, and Connie and Rudy Herrera of Austin; brother, Clarence Meyer and wife, Bernice of New Braunfels; 4 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 6 step-great- grandchildren; 1 step-great-great-grandchild.
