Funeral services for Balvino Toro Garcia, age 68, of Schulenburg, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenburg. Entombment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery.

The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, May 1, 2026, with the parish rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. from Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg.

Balvino is survived by his daughter, Amanda Goedecker (Greg); son, Matthew Toro (Corissa); daughter, Bianca Toro; daughter, Kristine Toro (Oscar); grandchildren, Zoey, Cooper, Elena, Amelia, and Marisol; brothers, Salvador and Santos; and sisters, Margarita, Agustina, Magdalena, Dominga; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and 7 brothers.
