The funeral services for Mr. Bernard "Bennie" Pavlas, age 86, of Schulenburg, Texas, will be held from the St. Rose Catholic Church in Schulenburg, Texas, on Saturday, August 31, 2013, at 10 am. Visitation will begin to the public after 4:30 pm on Friday, August 30, with the American Legion and VFW memorial services to be held at 6:30 pm, and the parish rosary to follow at 7pm. All services will be from the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg. Interment will be in the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Schulenburg, Texas.

Survivors include: wife, Margaret of Schulenburg; daughter, Michelle Wick and husband, Dwayne of Weimar; sons, Bernard Pavlas and wife, Nancy of Pearland; Craig Pavlas and wife, Kristy of Friendswood; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters, and 1 brother.
