Funeral services for Ms. Bernice Goppert, age 99, of Schulenburg, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from Zion Lutheran Church in Schulenburg. Interment will follow in Salem Memorial Cemetery in Freyburg.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, from Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg.

Bernice is survived by her sons, Lloyd Holz (Judy), Ronnie Holz (Wayne), Kyle Holz (Debi); daughter, Renee Mikesky (Shawn); grandchildren, Andrew Holz (Margaret), Bree Holz Gonzales (Roger), Ryan Holz (Sarah), Leah Mikesky Andre (Kaden), Shannon Hentges (Hale); great-grandchildren, William, Daniel, Lucas, Raelyn, Brenna, Ezra, Aubrey, Brady, and Otto; stepchildren, Fred Goppert, Jr., Debbie Besaw, Kenny Goppert, Dora Jo Bartek; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Friedrich.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed H. and Erna Umlang Friedrich; brothers, Nelson, Lawrence, and Clarence Friedrich; sister, Myrtle Vacek; and daughter-in-law, Patricia Holz.

Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church in Schulenburg or Salem Memorial Cemetery in Freyburg.
