Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 10 am from First United Methodist Church in Schulenburg, Texas.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg.  The Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department Memorial service will be conducted at 6:30 pm.

Interment will be at the Old High Hill Cemetery in High Hill, Texas.  Full Military Honors will be conducted at the Cemetery by the Schulenburg American Legion and VFW.

The family requests donations be made to:  The First United Methodist Church of Schulenburg; or the Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department; or a charity of one's choice.

Survivors include:  wife-Agnes Strickland of Schulenburg; daughter-Terri Guentert/husband Clinton of Freyburg; sons-Steve Strickland/wife Debbie of High Hill and Jason Strickland/wife Janice of High Hill; sister-in-law-Lucille Strickland of High Hill; 6 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and twin brother-Bobby.
