The funeral services for Mr. Bobby Strickland, age 81 of Schulenburg, Texas, will be held from the First United Methodist Church in Schulenburg on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at 10 am.

Visitation will be from 4:30 to 6:30 pm on Monday, October 20, from the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg, with the Schulenburg Fireman's Memorial service to be held at 6:30 pm.

Interment will be in the Old High Hill Cemetery in High Hill, Texas. Military services will be conducted by the Schulenburg American Legion and VFW.

The family requests donations be made to: The First United Methodist Church of Schulenburg; Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department; or a charity of one's choice.

Survivors include: wife-Lucille Strickland of Schulenburg; daughters-Sandra Mendel and husband Alan of Schulenburg, Rhonda Srubar and husband Ron of Muldoon, and Vicki Schrader and husband Eugene of Schulenburg; son-Scott Strickland and wife Pam of Austin; brother-Billy Strickland and wife Agnes of Schulenburg; sisters-in-law-Deborah Blume of La Grange, Lora Blume Penney and husband Thom of Austin; 10 grandchildren; 1 niece and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents-Henry and Gladys Alsobrook Strickland, and a granddaughter.
