The funeral services for Daniel D. Matus, age 79, of Schulenburg, Texas, will be held from the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, in Schulenburg, on Thursday, August 29, 2013, at 10 am. Visitation will begin to the public after 4:30 pm on Wednesday, August 28, from the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home with the parish rosary to be recited Wednesday evening at 7 pm from the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg. Interment will be in the High Hill Catholic Cemetery, High Hill, Texas.

Survivors include: wife, Elmarine Matus of Schulenburg; daughter, Karen Noska and husband, Roy of La Grange; son, Allen Matus and wife, Diana of Schulenburg; and 4 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 granddaughter.
