Services for Daniel "Zeke" Vacek, age 74, of Schulenburg, will be held from St Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenburg on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at 10:30 a.m.

The family will receive friends at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, January 12, 2024, from Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home, with the Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department memorial service to begin at 6:00 p.m. and the parish rosary to follow.

Interment will take place in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department, or a charity of your choice.

Zeke is survived by his wife, Linda Vacek; daughter, Vicki Hudec; son, Lance and Wendy Vacek; grandchildren, Taiton Hudec and Alyssa Otto, Slade Vacek, Mason Vacek, and Kallie Vacek; siblings, Loraine Stavinoha, and Jane and E.J. Hale; sisters-in-law, JoAnn Konvicka, Doris Brisco, and Barbara Konvicka; and brother-in-law, Thomas and Rhonda Konvicka.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolph and Mary Blaschke Vacek; son-in-law, Keith Hudec; and brother-in-law, Joe Stavinoha.
