Memorial services for Deanna Fondren Adams will be held Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 1:00 pm from the First Baptist Church in Schulenburg, Texas.  She is survived by her two sons, Craig Randall Adams of Austin, Texas, and Bryan Lee Adams of Tomball, Texas, along with Bryan's wife, Jennifer Williams Adams, and their three children, Grayson, Hayden, and Ellison.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dean Adams, her father, Emette W. Fondren, and her mother, Fay G. Williamson Fondren.

She was born Deanna Fay Fondren on October 10, 1943 in Lubbock, Texas.  Her family moved to Weslaco, Texas, and she graduated from Weslaco High School in 1961.  She married Robert Adams on August 20, 1966.

The couple moved to the Calallen/Robstown area outside of Corpus Christi where they lived for almost 40 years.  They were active members at Central Baptist Church in Robstown and were part of a small group that planted a church in Calallen that is today River Hills Baptist Church.  They moved to Schulenburg, Texas in 2006, where they built their own home in the country and became active members of First Baptist Church in Schulenburg.

After her husband died in 2013, she continued to joyfully live an active life and went on missions trips, traveled often to visit friends and family, participated in water aerobics classes at the local gym, and volunteered at her church in ways too numerous to count.  She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in November 2019 and fought bravely with the love and support of her family and numerous friends until she passed.  She died at her home with her two sons present on December 2, 2020.

Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, December 12, 2020 at 1:00 pm at First Baptist Church in Schulenburg, Texas, located at 110 N. Upton Avenue.  Her remains will be cremated.  Funeral arrangements are handled by the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg, Texas.  Additional information is available at www.schwenke-baumgarten.com .  Donations may be given to the Memorial Fund at First Baptist Church of Schulenburg, which offers scholarships to local youth.
