Funeral services will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 at 10am from St Rose Catholic Church, in Schulenburg. Visitation will begin at 5pm to the public on Thursday, with the Parish rosary to be recited at 7pm Thursday evening at the Funeral Home. Interment will be in the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery, Schulenburg, Tx. Survivors include, son; Derrl Ohnheiser/Wife Dina of Schulenburg, Brother-Nelson Jochen/Wife Alice of Schulenburg, 2 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Mrs. Ohnheiser was a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born in Freyburg, Tx on May 26, 1923 to Herbert and Lina Jochen. Deloris married the love of her life, Arthur Ohnheiser, on November 11, 1941 and established the Ohnheiser Dairy near her birthplace in Freyburg, Tx. Arthur and Deloris worked tirelessly to run the dairy with the help of their only child, Derrl, until the sale of the dairy in 1977.
Deloris was a faithful member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church and a devout Catholic. She loved to visit with family and friends and was known for her fabulous pies, cookies and homemade kolaches. Deloris and Arthur enjoyed dancing and attended local dances over the years where they made many lifelong friends. The family request donations be made to St. Rose Catholic Church or School, in Schulenburg, Tx.
