Memorial services will be held from the First United Methodist Church in Schulenburg, Texas on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at 11 am.

Visitation will begin at the Church at 10 am Saturday.

The family requests donations be made to the First United Methodist Church, Schulenburg, Texas or a charity of one's choice.

Survivors include:  wife-Marjorie Shofner of Schulenburg; daughters-Debra Bonds of Pasadena and Sheri Demel/husband Michael of Schulenburg; son-Jim Laird/wife Brenda of Schulenburg; 4 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; and 2 nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; 1 sister; 3 brothers; 1 grandson; 1 aunt; 1 great niece; and 1 great nephew.
