Funeral services for Eugene Schramek, age 89, of Schulenburg, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at St. Mary Catholic Church High Hill. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the parish rosary to be recited at 10:00 a..m. from the church. Interment will follow in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in High Hill with full military honors conducted by the Schulenburg American Legion Post 143.

Eugene is survived by his wife of 68 years, Lorene Schramek; daughter, Sandy Chaloupka and husband Robert; daughter, Donna Bonneau and husband Michael; daughter, Lisa Ehrig and husband Ernest "Bubba"; grandchildren; Hayley Mendel and husband Avery, Ethan Mendel and wife Ashton, Amber Bonneau and fiance Joey, Travis Bonneau, and Jase Ehrig and wife Christal; great grandchildren, Jayda, Tinsley, Henry, Lexi, Emery, and Julia; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary High Hill Restoration Fund, St. Rose of Lima Catholic School; Schulenburg American Legion Post 143, or a charity of your choice.
