Funeral Services for Evelyn Valicek Besetsny, age 96, of Schulenburg, will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, December 15, 2025, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenburg. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. with the parish rosary to be recited at 2:30 p.m. from the church. Entombment will follow in St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery.

Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Patsy Canion; daughter, Annette Walker; daughter, Lynn Heller and husband David; son, David Besetsny and Penny Beiersdorfer; daughter-in-law, Pam Besetsny; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Besetsny; daughter, Susan Joost and husband David; son, Robert Besetsny; grandchildren, Nerissa Cahal, Eric Joost, and Lauren Joost; and 6 siblings.
