Memorial services will be held from the St. Mary's Catholic Church in High Hill, Texas on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 11 am, with the Parish rosary to be recited prior to the mass at 10:30 am.
Visitation will begin at the Church after 9 am on Saturday.
Full military honors will be conducted at the Church by the Schulenburg American Legion.
The family requests donations be made to: St. Rose Catholic School, Schulenburg, Texas; or High Hill Restoration Fund; or a charity of one's choice.
Survivors include: wife-Jerlyn Tietjen Schindler of Schulenburg; five children-Debbie Condon/husband Rob of Houston, Keith Schindler/wife Brenda of Berlin Heights, OH, Mark Schindler/wife Joy of Schulenburg, Shane Hollas/wife Tonia of Schulenburg, and Judd Hollas of Austin; three granddaughters-Kelly Condon, Suzanne Schindler, and Brynlee Hollas; seven grandsons-Christopher Condon, Clayton Condon, Craig Condon, Ryan Schindler, Justin Schindler, Jackson Schindler, and Jase Hollas; four great-grandchildren-Kyle Condon, Caroline Condon, Clara Condon, and Graham Condon.
He is preceded in death by his parents-Alfred and Rose (Kasper) Schindler; sister-Marie Skalka; and brothers-Alfred, Leroy, and Daniel Schindler.
