The funeral services for Mr. George Vornsand, age 88 of Schulenburg, Texas, will be held from the St. Rose Catholic Church in Schulenburg on Friday, September 12, 2014 at 10 am. Visitation will begin to the public after 5 pm on Thursday, September, 11, 2014 from the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home with the Parish rosary to be recited Thursday evening at 7 pm from the Funeral Home. Entombment will be in the St. Rose Catholic Mausoleum in Schulenburg, Texas.

Survivors include: wife, Emma Vornsand of Schulenburg; daughter, Diane Thomas of San Antonio; son, Mike Vornsand of Hallettsville; sister, Virginia Herzik of Columbus; sister-in-law, Evelyn Vornsand of Schulenburg; 5 granddaughters; and 5 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Emilie Starustka Vornsand; 1 sister and 1 brother.
