Services for Helen Shimek, age 87, of Schulenburg will be Tuesday, January 9, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. from St. Rose Catholic Church in Schulenburg. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. from the church, with parish rosary to be recited at 10 a.m.

Entombment will follow in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery.

Helen is survived by her son, Randy and Dawn Shimek of Schulenburg; and brother, John and Georgie Klesel of Houston.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Martha Wagner Klesel; her husband, Milton Shimek; and son, Allen Shimek.
