Funeral Services for James L. Kahlich, age 87, of Houston, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2025 from the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. with the parish rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m. from the chapel. Interment will follow in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery.

James is survived by his brother, Leroy J. Kahlich; brother, Monsignor Daniel P. Kahlich; brother, Leo V. Kahlich and wife Anne; sister, Clarice Zmeskal and husband David; as well as nieces and nephew, Kimberley Zmeskal, Emilie Quigley, Melissa McAtee, Eric Zmeskal, and Carrie Braswell.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leo V. And Martha E. Polk Kahlich.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenburg.
