Funeral services for James "Jim" Miksch, age 81, of Schulenburg, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 20, 2026, from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenburg. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the parish rosary to be recited at 10:00 a.m. from the church. Interment will follow in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery with full military honors conducted by Schulenburg American Legion Post 143.

Jim is survived by his wife, Betty Ohnheiser Miksch; stepdaughter, Dianna Kurtz and husband Joe; step-grandchildren, Louis and Lindsay Gabler; great step-grandchildren, Hunter, Parker, and Harper; as well as other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Annie Schenk Miksch; and sister, Carol Hill.
