The funeral services for Mr. James C. Vecera, Sr., age 87, of High Hill, Texas will be held from the St. Mary's Catholic Church in High Hill, Texas on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 10 am.

Visitation will begin to the public after 5 pm on Friday, January 22, 2016 with the Parish rosary to be recited at 7 pm from the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg, Texas.

Interment will be in the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery in Schulenburg, Texas.

The family requests donations be made to: St. Mary's Restoration Fund, High Hill, Texas; St. Rose Catholic School, Schulenburg, Texas; or a charity of one's choice.

Survivors include: daughters-Cathy Friedrich/husband Mike of Schulenburg and Laurie Krnavek/husband Pete of Pflugerville; sons-Jimmy Vecera/wife Mary Jo of Katy, Mark Vecera/wife Barbara of Schulenburg, Ronnie Vecera of Moravia, and Gerald Vecera/wife Barbara of High Hill; sisters-Rosalie Shimek of Seguin, Evelyn Janecka of Austin, Margaret Kozel/husband Alois of Katy, and Mary Muras/husband Albert of High Hill; brothers-Raymond Vecera/wife Lillian of Yoakum and Lawrence Vecera/wife Clarice of Houston; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife-Estella; 1 infant son; 1 sister and 1 brother.
