Funeral services for Mrs. JoAnn Jares, age 81, will be held from the Swiss Alp Lutheran Church in Swiss Alp, Texas on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 10 am.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, March 23, from the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg, Texas.

Interment will be in the Schulenburg City Cemetery in Schulenburg.

The family requests donations be made to: Swiss Alp Lutheran Heritage Foundation or a charity of one's choice.

Survivors include: husband-Leo Jares of Schulenburg/Muldoon; daughter-Becky Jares of Cleburne; sister-Diana Ulbig/husband Joe of Weimar; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter-Patty; and son-Leonard.
