Funeral services will be held from the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Weimar, Texas on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at 1 pm.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, November 1, 2019, at the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg, Texas. The Parish and Knights of Columbus rosary will be recited prior to the funeral mass at 12:30 pm Saturday from the St. Michael's Catholic Church in Weimar.
Military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the Weimar Veterans.
Entombment will be in the St. Michael's Catholic Mausoleum in Weimar, Texas.
The family has requested memorials be made to American Heart Association; or Alzheimer's of Texas; or a charity of one's choice.
Survivors include: daughters-Virginia Bargas of Temple, Anita Mayer/husband Stephen of La Grange, Martha Powell/husband Mike of Holman, Delfina Rohde/husband Jerry of La Grange, and Juanita Bargas of Austin; sons-Joe Bargas, Jr. of San Antonio, Louis Bargas/wife Vicky of La Grange and David Bargas/wife Virginia of Hallettsville; sisters-Becky Lozano of Weimar, Felicita Davila of Weimar, Lucia Martinez of Weimar, Connie Elizondo/husband Gilbert of Columbus, Justina Segura of Schulenburg, and Maria Bohac/husband Don of Schulenburg; brothers-Johnny Bargas/wife Mary of Schulenburg and Thomas Bargas of Schulenburg; 15 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife-Andrea,; infant son; 1 grandson; 1 sister and 1 brother.
