Funeral Services for John McClanahan, age 83, of Weimar, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. from the chapel. Interment will follow in Weimar Masonic Cemetery in Weimar.

John is survived by his son, Mark McClanahan and wife Nancy; son, James McClanahan and wife Alena; grandchildren, John Mark McClanahan, Kelly McClanahan, Mollie McClanahan, Caleb McClanahan, Hayden McClanahan and wife Tori, Ryan McClanahan, Kaylee Martin and husband Jeff; great grandchild, Rowan; and sister, Betty Herzberg and husband Alan.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Laverne; and parents, John W. And Freeda Keidel McClanahan.
