Memorial services for John Schindler, age 59, of Schulenburg will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenburg. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. from the church. The Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. and lead directly into the parish rosary.

Inurnment will follow in St. Rose Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Schulenburg American Legion.

John is survived by his wife, Misty Rene Schindler; sisters, Rose Ann and Daniel Cernoch of La Grange, Joann and Bruce Lebeda of Schulenburg; brothers, Joseph and Tanya Schindler of Schulenburg, Michael and Debbie Schindler of Schulenburg; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Aleda and Gene Reagan; and beloved fur baby, Lucy.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Rosemary Schindler; and nephew, Christopher Schindler.

John proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1984 until 1986 and was stationed at Mildenhall Air Force Base in England. Locally, John was a member of Knights of Columbus and the Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Schulenburg American Legion, Schulenburg Volunteer Fire Department, or St Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
