Funeral Services for Mr. Johnnie Bargas, age 80, of Schulenburg, will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenburg. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. with the parish rosary to be recited at 2:00 p.m. from the church. Interment will follow in Ammannsville Catholic Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Schulenburg American Legion.

Johnnie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Bargas; son, Norman Bargas and his wife Dayna; daughter, Monica Bargas and her husband Daniel Benavides; daughter, Melissa Carey and her husband James; grandchildren, Austin Bargas and wife Hailey, Jon Bargas, Andrew Bargas, and Danica Benavides; siblings, Lucia Martinez, Felicia Davila, Connie Elizondo, Justine Segura, Maria Bohac, and Tom Bargas; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Cenobio and Leocadia Aleman Bargas; siblings, Joe Bargas, Julian Bargas, Becky Lozano, and Juana Bargas.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ammannsville, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of your choice.
