Funeral services will be held from the St. Mary's Catholic Church in High Hill, Texas on Saturday, December 21, 2019 at 10 am.

Visitation will begin to the public after 5 pm on Friday, December 20, with the Parish rosary to be recited at 7 pm from the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home Chapel in Schulenburg, Texas.

Interment will be in the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in High Hill, Texas.

The family requests donations be made to the High Hill Restoration Fund, High Hill, Texas or a charity of one's choice.

Survivors include:  wife-Bernadette "Berni" Schwenke of Schulenburg; daughters-Ashley Hanslik/husband Paul of Moulton and Megan Jackson of Weimar; sons-Edward Schwenke of High Hill and Derek Schwenke/wife Dorothy of La Grange; brother-Lloyd Schwenke of Schulenburg; mother-Angelina Schwenke of Schulenburg; sisters-Linda Kutac/husband Lawrence of Houston and Laurie Trench/husband Carl of Engle; mother-in-law-Mildred Mazoch of Schulenburg; 5 grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncle and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his father; an infant daughter; brother; father-in-law; sister-in-law and nephew.
