Funeral services will be held from St. Rose Catholic Church in Schulenburg, Texas on Wednesday, September 1, 2021 at 11 am.

Visitation will begin to the public after 9 am Wednesday at the Church, with the Parish rosary to be recited prior to the mass at 10:30 am.

Entombment will be in the St. Rose Catholic Cemetery mausoleum in Schulenburg, Texas.

Full military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the Schulenburg American Legion.

Survivors include:  wife-Nelda Nelson of Schulenburg; daughter-Darlene Smith/husband Clyde of Schulenburg; son-Byron Nelson/wife Dawn of Weimar; sister-Bobbie Okruhlik of Schulenburg; brother-Arthur Nelson/ wife Cindy of Schulenburg; grandchildren- Piper and Archer; and several nieces and nephews.
