Funeral services will be held from the Swiss Alp United Evangelical Lutheran Church in Swiss Alp, Texas on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 1 pm.

Visitation will begin at the church at 11 am Saturday prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Schulenburg City Cemetery in Schulenburg, Texas.  Full military services will be conducted at the cemetery by the Schulenburg American Legion.

Survivors include:  daughter-Becky Jares of Cleburne; sister-in-law-Diana Ulbig/husband Joe of Weimar; special family friends-Judy and Dempsey Silva of Cleburne, Ryan and Grant Libby family, Trey and Destiny Silva family and Erin and Ryan Robbins family all of Burleson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his parents; wife-JoAnn; daughter-Patty; son-Leonard; brother-Alton Jares and wife Dorothy; and 2 infant sisters.

The family requests donations be made to:  Swiss Alp United Evangelical Lutheran Church; or Hospice Brazos Valley; or Swiss Alp Lutheran Heritage Foundation; or a charity of one's choice.

Services will be live-streamed on the Swiss Alp Evangelical Lutheran Church website.
