Funeral services will be held at St. John's Catholic Church in St. John, Texas on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 11 am.

Visitation will begin at the Church after 9 am, with the Parish rosary to be recited at 10:30 am.

Interment will be in St. John's Catholic Cemetery in St. John, Texas.  Full military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the Schulenburg American Legion.

The family requests donations be made to:  St. John's Catholic Church or Cemetery, St. John, Texas or a charity of one's choice.

Survivors include:  wife-Grace Sumbera of St. John; sons-Darrell Sumbera/wife Kim of Bellaire, Don Sumbera/wife Jolie of Houston and Dwayne Sumbera/wife Cindy of Spring; sister-Virginia Holub/husband Wesley of Columbus; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
