Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 10:30am from the Swiss Alp Evangelical Lutheran Church, in Swiss Alp, Tx.  Visitation will begin at the church from 8:30 to 10:30 Saturday morning.  The interment will be Saturday afternoon at 1pm from the Schulenburg City Cemetery, Schulenburg, Tx.  Survivors include:  daughters-Joan Dodson/husband-Allen of Weatherford; Connie Ames/Woody Halpin of Houston; sister-Joyce Mardis of Lake Jackson; 3 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands-Harry Rice and George Hagens, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.  The family requests donations be made to the Swiss Alp Evangelical Lutheran Church of Swiss Alp or the Hospice of South Texas or the Texas Czech Heritage Center or a charity of one's choice.  Services will be live-streamed on the Swiss Alp Evangelical Lutheran Church website.
