Marjorie Ann Machalec Cernosek passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017. Ms. Cernosek was born July 2, 1933 in Flatonia, Texas to August F. Machalec and Annie Barta Machalec. She graduated from Schulenburg High School. She lived most of her life in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, August and Annie, and her brother, Rock Machalec.

She is survived by her 6 children: son-James Cernosek and wife Carol of Missouri City, Texas; daughters-Beverly Pyle and husband Jim of Richmond, Texas; Sharon Schlauch of Richmond, Texas; Brenda McKee of Houston, Texas; Diana Novosad and husband Chris of Fulshear, Texas; son-Michael Cernosek and wife Kathy of Richmond, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; sister-in-law-
Betty Jo Machalec of Katy, Texas; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to visitation with the family from 9:00 am - 10:00 am Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home, 701 South Main, Schulenburg, Texas 78956. Service will follow at 10 am. The burial will take place at St. Mary's in Praha, Texas, immediately following the service. Lunch will be provided at St. Mary's Hall.
