Funeral services for Mark E. Janacek, age 66, of Schulenburg, will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 23, 2026, from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenburg. The family will receive friends at 9:30 a.m. with the rosary to be prayed at 10:30 a.m. from the church. Interment will follow in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery.

Mark is survived by his sister, Connie Koopmann and husband Allen of Schulenburg; niece, Jamie Etzler and husband Noel of Hallettsville; nephew, Sterling Koopmann and wife Holly of Richmond; great-niece and great-nephews, Stetson, Waylon, and Ellie; uncle, Wesley Janacek and wife Linda of Schulenburg, aunt, Alice Campbell of Baytown; as well as numerous cousins, friends, and other extended family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Patsy Janacek; paternal grandparents, Wesley, Sr. and Angelina Janacek; and maternal grandparents, Henry and Albina Vyvjala.
