The funeral services for Mrs. Martha Hermis, age 96, of Schulenburg, Texas, will be held from the St. Rose Catholic Church in Schulenburg on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at 10 am. Visitation will begin to the public after 5 pm on Friday, August 8, 2014 from the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg, with the Parish rosary to be recited Friday evening at 7 pm. Interment will be in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery in St. John's, Texas.

Survivors include: daughter-Irene Hermis and husband Steven Kansteiner of Weimar; son-Oscar Hermis, Jr., and wife Bernice of Houston; sister-Julia Dach of High Hill; 12 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband-Oscar Hermis, Sr.; 1 daughter; 1 son; 1 sister; and 3 brothers.
