Funeral services will be held from the Moravia Catholic Church in Moravia, Texas on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at 10 am.

Visitation will begin to the public after 5 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 from the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg, Texas, with the Parish rosary to be recited at 7 pm.

Interment will be in the Moravia Catholic Cemetery in Moravia, Texas.

Survivors include: wife-Adela Filip of Moravia; daughters-Dorothy Young/husband David of Moravia, Kathryn Pilat/husband Patrick of Moravia, Rose Ann Brosh/husband Thomas of Moravia and Donna Filip/Brenda Filip of Moravia; sons-Franklin Filip/wife Henrietta of Moravia and Edward "EJ" Filip of Moravia; brother-Elgin Filip of Schulenburg; 13 grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Godchildren: Carolyn Siegel, Stacie Schramek, Eric, Brandon, Wade and Greg Siegel.

He is preceded in death by his parents and a infant brother.
