Dwayne Burton, 69, of Schulenburg, Texas, entered into Eternal Rest on Thursday, May, 22, 2025.

Dwayne was born in Louisville, Kentucky to Thomas and Norma Burton.  He was a 1974 graduate of South Houston High School in Houston, Texas.   He attended Texas A&M University.  After graduating in 1978, he went to work for Natural Gas Pipeline Co. of America, which later became Kinder Morgan.  He stayed with the company for 35 years and retired in 2013.  He was an active member of Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Moravia, Texas.

Dwayne is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Connie Boudreaux Burton; children, Jason Burton and wife, Kate of Savannah, Georgia and Joel Burton and wife, Rachel of Argyle, Texas; grandchildren, Jack, Jenna, Travis, Connor, Caleb, Owen and Elle; sister, Marcia Adams and husband, Terry.

Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Barbara King and Thomas J. Burton.

Memorial Services will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in St. John, Texas, at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025.  The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. with the parish rosary to be prayed at 10:30 a.m. from the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church in Moravia,Texas, or a charity of your choice.
