Funeral services for Mayor Otto Kocian, age 71, of Schulenburg, Texas will be held from St. Rose Catholic Church in Schulenburg on Saturday, March 24, 2018 at 10 am.

Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 6:30 pm on Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg. The American Legion memorial service will be held at 7:30 pm at St. Rose Catholic Church followed by the Parish rosary at 8 pm.

Entombment will be in St. Rose Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum in Schulenburg. Full military honors will be conducted at the cemetery by the Schulenburg VFW and American Legion.

The family requests donations be made to: St. Rose Catholic Church or School; American Legion; Schulenburg Public Library or a charity of one's choice.

Survivors include: wife-Elaine Kocian of Schulenburg; daughter-Kristi Kocian Lloyd/husband Shane of La Grange; son-Aaron Kocian of Austin; and 2 grandchildren-Jack and Lauren Lloyd.

He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister.
