Funeral services for Richard Geissen, age 89, of Schulenburg, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, from St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Schulenburg. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the parish rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m. from the church. Interment will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery in St. John.

Richard is survived by his son, David and Bridget Geissen of Schulenburg; daughter, Jennifer and Ronnie Schilhab of Schulenburg; daughter, Susan and Ronnie Lewis of Sheridan; grandchildren, Amy, Caleb, Dylan, Ty, and Avery; and brother, Don and Judy Geissen of Bulverde.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose; and parents, J.W. and Alta Peterson Geissen.
