Funeral services for Robert F. "Bobby" Mendel, Jr., age 79, of St. John, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in St. John. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. with the parish rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m. from the church. Interment will follow in St. John Catholic Cemetery with military honors by the Schulenburg American Legion.

Bobby is survived by his daughter, Pam McKinney (Chris); daughter, Amy Adams (Jeff); grandchildren, Mandy Barker (Jared), Austin McKinney, Linley Adams, Jake Adams; brother Jessie Mendel (Barbara); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Mendel; parents, Robert F. Mendel, Sr. and Martha Brossmann Mendel; and siblings, Andre Kainer and Gladys Chaloupka.
