A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Sandra Denise Mendel, age 65, of Schulenburg, will be at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024, at First Methodist Church in Schulenburg. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. and a reception will follow the service.

Sandra is survived by her husband, Alan Mendel; children, Shelley and Scott Janecka, Trisha and Jerred Kocurek, and Shane Mendel; grandchildren, Ian, Anna, and baby Janecka due in July; siblings, Rhonda and Ron Srubar, Vicki and Eugene Schrader, and Scott and Pam Strickland; mother, Lucille Strickland; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Beth Mendel; and father, Bobby Strickland.
