Funeral services for Mr. Stephen Vann Kirks, age 70, of Red Rock, Texas will be held from St. John's Catholic Church in St. John, Texas on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 10 am.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from the Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg, Texas.

Interment will be in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery in St. John, Texas.

Full military honors will be conducted by the Schulenburg VFW and American Legion.

Survivors include: father-Edward Kirks of Cary, North Carolina; wife-Shirley Kirks of Red Rock, Texas; daughter-Kym Sommer/husband Bryan of Schulenburg, Texas; son-Travis Kirks/wife Chelsea of Red Rock, Texas; sisters-Joy Kruger/husband Richard of Raleigh, North Carolina and Starr Warner of Raleigh, North Carolina; brothers-Chris Kirks of Smithfield, North Carolina and Mark Kirks of Cary, North Carolina; and 4 grandchildren.
