Obituary

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Travis Matthew York, a cherished son, brother, and friend, who left this world peacefully in his sleep on June 25, 2026, at the age of 46. Travis was born in Dallas, Texas. He is survived by his mother, Sylvia York; his father, Robert York and wife Alice; along with his beloved brother, Austin.

Travis's journey through life was marked by a steadfast dedication to his family, his work, and his passions. A graduate of Hart High School in California, Travis went on to carve out a meaningful career in HVAC, a field he dedicated himself to for well over a decade. His most recent employment was with AirTron, where he was respected not only for his skill and professionalism but also for his unwavering work ethic and warm spirit.

A true sports enthusiast, Travis's heart belonged to the Dallas Cowboys, and he was a devoted fan of the Los Angeles Lakers. Whether he was cheering from the stands or playing baseball and basketball himself, Travis found joy and camaraderie in sports, sharing countless memorable moments with friends and family.

Those who knew Travis will remember him for his boundless compassion and generosity. He had a heart as big as Texas, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Travis's loyalty to his family and friends was unmatched, and his infectious laughter brought joy to all who had the pleasure of knowing him. He had a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life, appreciating the diversity of personalities and stories he encountered.

Travis's passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, yet his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. His legacy is one of love, loyalty, and laughter, and his impact on the lives he touched will be remembered for years to come.

Travis is also survived by aunts, Mary Warren and husband David of Weimar, and Rita Willis (widow of Jerry) of Etoile, Texas; along with cousins Erin Denny and husband Larry, Todd Uzzell, Tim Warren, and wife Jessica, Zach Warren and wife Carolyn, and Jason Willis and wife Shelly; and their families.  Travis was preceded in death by his aunt, Rosalyn Uzzell.

A service to honor and celebrate Travis's life will be held on Monday, July 6, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. from Schwenke-Baumgarten Funeral Home in Schulenburg. Interment will follow in Weimar Masonic Cemetery in Weimar.
